Our Vision

Wyoming Logsmiths' three acre log yard is located at the southern edge of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Our view of Ramshorn Peak is a daily reminder of the Absaroka and Wind River Mountain ranges which form our nation's first national forest, Shoshone National Forest. The mountain forests provide trees, water, wildlife, plants, and abundant opportunities. In the log yard, we sort and deck logs for processing. This is where we hand-peel logs with a drawknife and handcraft notches with a chainsaw, mallet, and chisel to build custom log homes. A 52" Hud-Son band sawmill can custom mill timbers and logs. Three log buildings on site demonstrate examples of round notched corners, saddle notched corners and dovetail-style corners.
